Kaylee the dollShe is named after ceilidh pronounced Kaylee the Scottish word for party that her Scottish parents liked to do a lot of.

She's out at the Garlic Festival in the Isle of White today sporting her Sunday best pink patchwork dress that her Mum put together using her Dad's old band shirts from the 70's. She is not interested in the live music today thats playing she'll leave that to Dad, she's here to see  The Dancing Dogs on stage.

Kaylee loves dogs there are so many dogs here today, its like a crufts parade, her Dad reminds her to ask the dogs whether it bites or not before stroking them.

The doll's face is embroideredHer sleeves and legs are made from designer vintage fabric. Her body is a soft brushed cotton which has been tea dyed for a light brown complexion, her bushy black hair is tied with little pink ribbons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Using a soft needle sculptured technique on the face she has a very gentle expression, her brown eyes and pink smile are hand embroidered.

Pink and white pearly buttons are used for the button jointed limbs at the shoulders and hips, and sewn at the elbows and knees to allow for movement.

Her hands are softly stuffed.
