This doll makes everyone smile, she is yet to grow out of her goofy teeth but is an absolute beauty.
She is on her way to a picnic with some friends carrying her straw picnic basket. Her friends asked if she would bring the chicken, so she brought her pet chicken Henrietta for everyone to meet. Oh oh, they meant roast chicken to eat!
Its a hot summers day and she is wearing a gingham check skirt with her broiderie anglais petticoat over the top, it looks better this way she thinks. Her broiderie anglais top has a gingham frilly collar.
Her legs are made from stripey ticking fabric and her arms and body a soft brushed cotton, tea dyed for a light beige complexion.
This is an all cloth doll which has been needle-sculpted on the face and with hand embroidered features. Her eyes are an electric blue colour, with a slight blush to her cheeks. She has the bushiest reddest hair tied on the top with two red ribbons.
Her shoulders and hips are button jopinted using pearly white buttons and sewn by the elbows and knees so she can hold a pose.
Her hands and thumb are softly stuffed.
Henritta the hand sewn felt chicken accompanies her.
She stands 17" tall.
