There's a Friday night deal that Alice cannot miss - five pasties for a pound at Dreggs The Baker on the Sunderland High Street. "Here's one and one and one and one and one pasties" said the girl behind the counter who seemed a little mad. "But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. A boy at the oven said "Oh you can't help that, we're all mad here."
"How do you know I'm mad?" demanded Alice.
"You must be, you're here!" they all cried. "Oh mackem" said Alice leaving for a river walk. She ate a pasty and didn't feel well at all. "I feel peculiarer and peculiarer" said Alice.

Bright long blonde hair is tied off her face with a blue ribbon.
She has a clay over cloth face and hands which are hand sculpted and painted. The rest of the doll is made from cloth.
